GoGo BarsSoi Cowboy is where most first-timers should start. It's a 150-metre strip squeezed between Asok and Phrom Phong BTS stations — walkable end to end in five minutes, packed with 40+ bars on both sides, and busy every single night of the year. The scale is manageable. You don't feel overwhelmed. You can walk the whole thing, get a feel for the vibe, duck into a bar, and leave if it's not for you.
The two headline acts are Baccara and Tilac. Baccara is the most famous GoGo bar in Thailand — possibly in Asia. It runs two floors, packs in more dancers than anywhere else on the strip, and is always busy by 10pm. Tilac is smaller, darker, and has a reputation for some of the most attractive girls on Cowboy. Both have a cover charge that comes with a drink. Beyond those two, the quality varies — some bars are lively and well-run, others are tired. Walk the strip first before committing to a bar stool.
Cowboy peaks between 9pm and midnight. After midnight the crowd thins and the energy drops. Barfines run 600–900 THB, beer is 100–150 THB, and the overall vibe is more tourist-friendly and less raw than Nana. If you're bringing someone who's never done this before, Cowboy is the right introduction.

Stage is well-positioned, the staff are professional, and the bar runs efficiently on busy nights.
Long Gun Bar
GoGo BarsOne of the oldest GoGo bars on Soi Cowboy and one of the most enduring in Bangkok. Long Gun has been running for decades and has outlasted dozens of competitors that opened and closed around it. The formula is straightforward: two floors, a large stage on each, strong air conditioning, and a consistent rotation of dancers. No gimmicks, no theme nights — just a well-run bar that knows what it is. Favoured by expats who've been coming to Cowboy for years and don't need a novelty act. Barfines in the standard Cowboy range of 600–800 THB.
Obsession
LadyboyThe ladyboy GoGo bar on Soi Cowboy — the strip's only dedicated venue in that category and the closest equivalent to Cascade on the Cowboy side. Smaller than Cascade at Nana but well-run, with a consistent lineup of performers. Located mid-strip, easy to spot. Popular with visitors who want the ladyboy GoGo experience without the three-floor complexity of Nana Plaza. Barfines and drink prices are in the standard Cowboy range.
Suzie Wong
GoGo BarsA Soi Cowboy institution with a reputation for some of the most attractive dancers on the strip. Smaller and more intimate than Baccara, which means better sight lines and a closer atmosphere. The bar has maintained its quality over the years and consistently ranks among the top GoGo bars on Cowboy in expat reviews. Gets busy quickly after 9pm — arrive early for a good seat near the stage. Barfines run standard Cowboy rates.
